In other news, this blog has been named as one of the Ten Blogs to Read in 2008 by LISNews (I voted for the effing librarian, myself...sorry, eff!). I must say I am unbelievably chuffed, and promise to only use my powers for good. Ooooh, shiny! Destruction!

I love this site. If the attention keeps you posting hideous book covers with big-boobed aliens and creepy babies, then it's good for all of us.
The layout for the title is one of those designs that sounds great when pitched or argued for ("See, the yellow here balances the other yellow here, and they're not the same size, so it won't look too matchy-matchy, but then the red..."), but when it actually gets all laid out it looks dead and overthought.
The woman trying to watch the news through her cat is just the too-literal-by-half icing on the cake.

Think like a cat? Bat at everything that dangles, hiss at people you don't like, and stare at water dripping out of the faucet? Crazy behavior for a human. The cat on the cover is cute, though.
