    Oh that poor girl...that spine-ectomy must have really hurt. She's so brave to keep going like that even though she can no longer move from the couch...

    I'll cop to having read at least two in this series back in the mists of time, long long ago. I don't recall much about them but they evidently ended up either in a box in the attic or having been sent to the used-book store.
