Phallic Phriday of the Phuture!

I'm not really sure what to say here besides, "Look! Penis!!" Also "Half man/half stereo receiver." And "Hah hah hah look at the computer!" I also like the juxtaposition of "bang-up job" right below the launch explosion (hey little commando-guys, you're supposed to run AWAY from the flames!!!). Yeah, it's the weekend, I'm losing it...

  1. OMG I love how "ADOLESCENCE" (rhymes with "tumescence") swells to cover a Giant "P-1"; even the font is excited.

"Can I interest you in a ride on my P-1?"

    And so on.

  3. Wow. Old pulp covers are so bad, aren't they?

If you like pulp covers, I greatly encourage you to go to Rex Parker's (commentor #1) Pop Sensation. I've been meaning to link to it for ages.

  6. btw, is there a special reason why you don't have the post-contents in your RSS-Feed, just the titles? it's a bit annoying ...

  7. You know what gets a blogger to change his/her blog in accordance with a reader's desires? Well, here's what won't: saying that something's annoying. Try making a polite request.

And then try donating money to this blog, or at least thanking the author for providing you with something you clearly read and enjoy, you whiny free-loader.

  8. I can't believe that's the NYT blurb.. "a bang-up job," that must have been during that three-martini-lunch period... actually, if it was published in 1977, then the reviewer was probably having a three-line-nose-candy lunch..

  9. Omigod I read that when it came out. Can't remember anything about it, though, maybe a computer becoming sentient?
